The Neatery is a blog about anything handmade, and the ideas that inspire our creations. We’re a group of friends who like to make things – food, crochet, sewing, art, crafts, scrapbooking, and more. This blog is our way to share what we make with the world, teach each other about our creations, share ideas to spark creativity, and more. We hope you enjoy it!
Authors:
Fnur is Karen Garrett, a recovering fashion designer and keeper of an incredibly messy craft desk. She enjoys bacon, bad TV, good TV, old movies, cool color schemes, and Martha Stewart. Karen specializes in no particular area of crafting but is willing to try them all. You can find her personal blog at www.karenanderik.com and email her at karenbgarrett (at) gmail (dot) com.
JenJenZa is Jennefer Pizza, but you can call her Jen or Jen-Jen or Za, just don’t call her Jenny. She has lots of favorite things, but among them are boys with red hair, things that smell like coconut, french fries, risotto, Ewan McGregor, and vinyl records. She likes all sorts of crafts because she likes pretty things, but she’s a terrible seamstress. Look for posts from her that involve paper, paint, and/or yarn. You can find her personal blog at jenza.livejournal.com but the Neatery Staff warns you that she is a terrible updater.
Lanigan is Amber Martin (soon to be Smith), who learned how to sew, embroider and crochet before she hit her 10th birthday. At 16, she was driving a brand new Kenmore sewing machine, not a car. She has a shallow knowledge of a broad range of crafts, leading many to the misguided notion of believing she knows what she’s doing. Her craft room is currently overrun with scrapbooking supplies and yarn in large part because she is addicted to clearance sales and % off coupons. When not crafting, she is most likely to be teaching the youth of America, reading, tailgating, or wishing she had Tivo.
